Are there redundant legal documents?
If you want to order a medium-well done burger in Canada, in some places they will make you sign the reverse side… because in Canada it is forbidden to serve underdone burgers.
Regardless of the fact that the customer ordered something that is not even allowed, I paused on this post for another reason. Where is the line between redundant legal documentation and what you really need to agree with the customer?
Well, each country or legal system gives you certain barriers as to how many legal documents you must prepare or sign as a party. Also, each situation may require different attention or how you behave. Personally, I would probably not recommend clients to jump headlong into something that would raise big questions or bring too much risk with an uncertain outcome. Sometimes too many documents can be what discourages a potential customer from buying your product or using your service.
